Climate of South Sudan
South Sudan's climate is hot with seasonal rainfall influenced by the annual shift of the Inter-Tropical Zone; rainfall is heaviest in the upland areas of the south and less to the north. There are two main seasons: wet and dry The climate type is Tropical dry, Savana. Lightweight clothes are suitable all year round.
What to Pack
South Sudan has wet season lasting May to October, often causing widepsread floods and interruption of transport . Temperatures are usually high throughout the year between mid 80's to 110 degrees
If travelling during the rainy season, bring waterproofs. The dry season starts in November and ends in April. If traviling during the dry season pack light shirts and shorts for each day you stay. At anytime of year bring some heavier clothes for cool nights that range from mid 40's to 70 dergees.
